Marnell L. Small

CEO / Founder of The D.I.V.A. Movement Association, INC
(Determined. Inspired. Victorious. Accomplished.)

The D.I.V.A. Movement’s mission is to be a facilitator for women’s learning, growth, and overall empowerment. Marnell is a graduate of Bennett College, a historically Black liberal arts college for women located in Greensboro, NC. Marnell’s passion for service and sisterhood has allowed her to use creative leadership initiatives to be a positive influence within her community.

Marnell’s unique and effective style of meeting the people “where they are” was developed through her years of study in the Communications field and as an active member within her church and community.  As a certified Zumba Instructor, she blends lessons learned from her own holistic weight loss journey to create an energetic environment that infuses the elements of exercise, motivation, and enjoyment to inspire added confidence and increased self-esteem as tools for a lasting lifestyle change.

Some of The D.I.V.A. Movement’s Current initiatives include the Annual D.I.V.A. Movement Prom Makeover, Young D.I.V.A.s, an interactive session for girls between the ages of 7-17, that focuses on "SELF LOVE",  health and nutrition and the importance of diet and exercise. The young girls also participate in various group discussions (i.e., self-esteem building, bullying, etc.), School supply drives, Christmas toy drives, and Adopt-A-Family-In-Need.

Marnell also partners with Health and Nutrition Experts, Life Coaches, and Makeup Artists to support her vision of helping women embrace their beauty from the inside out. As she continues to grow and expand her business, she looks forward to serving the community and women from every walk of life.
